Fade of the Day – Wingman Loomstate (14 Months, 1 Wash, 2 Soaks)

It’s time for Fade of the Day and for this installment we have a solid pair of Wingman jeans to exhibit. We seem to get a great pair of Wingmans every few months and this time around we have a pair of the brand’s Loomstate jeans courtesy of Riki Saputra of Indonesia.

Riki has been working on these beauties for just over a year and these images show that they’re shaping up nicely. One wash and two soaks have been enough to see the denim develop a steely blue cast that allows each fade and crease to shine through. An impressive set of whiskers has developed in the lap and they’re mirrored by the stark, stacked-up honeycombs that claw ’round to the knees. The faded thighs have also worn down enough to reveal the rich texture of the raw selvedge denim, but there is plenty more indigo dye left  in these bad boys, so Riki can keep them in rotation until they’re completely shredded.
