Fade Friday – Edwin ED-71 (14 Months, 8 Washes, 1 Soak)

We love a Fade Of The Day update! Today we revisit Germany’s Kili Hutzler and his Edwin ED-71’s, which were originally featured on May 31 of 2015 as our Fade Friday.

In these jeans’ first feature, they had just broken in and were starting to show some nice fades. Around the time of their first submission, they’d had a DIY crotch repair job, which even Kili admitted wasn’t the best. Since then, he’s mainly worn these jeans while working at home or to the occasional concert. In total he’s had 425 effective wear days, which has resulted in a majestic pair of jeans.

Hardly any deep indigo left, plenty of wear requiring mending, and super contrasty fades, particularly in the scale-like honeycombs. These look like work jeans that have been abused for years!
