PRPS has been instrumental in bringing Japanese denim options to the fore here in America, and their latest output continues along that mission with five pieces of Japanese-made denim cut specifically for the female physique. And the capsule is available exclusively at Self Edge, no strangers to Japanese denim themselves.
This one boasts a trio of classic designs: a rinsed type-III styled denim jacket made from 11 oz. Japanese selvedge denim—complete with iron hardware, durable cotton-poly core constructional stitching, and a cowhide patch—as well as two cuts of jeans. The first of these two styles, the “AMX” jean, is their tapered high-rise jean with a zip fly, while the second pair, the “El Camino,” is a slim cut medium-rise jean with an iron button fly. Both cuts are available in the same washed indigo 11oz. Japanese selvedge denim as the jacket, and in a drool-worthy natural indigo warp/black pigment dye weft 11.75oz. Japanese selvedge denim.
It’s good lookin’ stuff, but more importantly, it’s designed with an under-represented part of the market in mind.
