Star of Hollywood Crawls Back from the 50s with Their Tarantula Shirt

Toyo Enterprises, the conglomerate that owns Sugar CaneBuzz Rickson, and others, makes hundreds of outlandish and amazing pieces that never make it across the Pacific. Thankfully, the folks at Self Edge made sure that this creepy crawler wouldn’t slip through our fingers.

Star of Hollywood, a now defunct brand famous for its wacky shirts in the 1950s, illicited goosebumps with their trademark tarantula motif. Toyo acquired the rights to the Star of Hollywood name, and their repro stays true to the original with a 100% rayon fabric, urea buttons, a spread collar, and a single chest pocket. Plenty of posers out there have cool Hawaiian shirts, but how many among us wear rayon spider shirts out and about?

Available for $250 from Self Edge.
