If you’re looking to get into wider silhouettes, but you don’t want to spend $200 or more, look no further. The Sleepy Sixten is a loose-fitting jean from Nudie, and they’ve done it a nice, dry denim.
Made in Italy, these roomy jeans weigh in at a three-season weight of 12oz. And, though they’re not selvedge denim, you can rest assured that the resulting fades will take your attention away from the overlocked outseams. It’s a step up from a classic pair of Levi’s 501 Shrink-to-Fit’s, but still in the entry-level range of denim. They’ve also made their in-your-face arcuates a bit more mellow with tonal navy thread.
So, if you want to let loose and dip your toes into the (very) wide world of raw denim, you can give these a go.
