It’s a month with days, so Unionmade Goods and Alden are back at it again with another beautiful shell cordovan offering, this time doing the storied Indy Boot in Color 8. But because details are always a good time, this one is a blast.
Like most Indy’s, this pair has matched agatine eyelets, a reverse all-around Goodyear storm welt and a hand-sewn mocc toe, but that’s pretty much where the similarities stop—as an exclusive release, the folks over at Unionmade took a couple liberties with the timeless design.
For starters, they decided to employ the aforementioned Color 8 shell cordovan from the famed Horween tannery, which would normally be plenty, but they also replaced the standard composite sole with a weather-friendly natural plantation crepe sole for better traction in the winter months.
As an exclusive release, however, there aren’t a ton of pairs to go around. And once they’re gone, they don’t tend to come back.
