Fade of the Day – Selfmade Leather Belt (2 Years)

We’ve been getting more and more leather submissions for our Fade Of The Day and we love it. Keep ’em coming. Today we’re looking at a pair of  belts owned by Lubbock, Texas resident Maxwell Nalle. As they were both DIY projects, we’re sure it must been extra gratifying for Maxwell to see just how well his hard work has aged over the last two years of wear.

Seriously, why settle for someone else’s concept when you can just create exactly what you want? Maxwell controlled the design, detail, and quality of materials which resulted in two excellent belts that haven’t required a lick of repair or conditioning since they were made.

By the looks of the images he made a natural, veg-tanned belt with white stitching and brass hardware and a brown belt with matching stitching and nickle hardware, and both have worn nicely towards a beautiful, rich leathery brown patina.
