Fade Friday – A.P.C. Petit Standard (2.5 Years, 7 Washes)

Another week, another Fade Friday,  another pair of epic A.P.C. jeans! This pair of Petit Standard is the latest to develop some grail fades, and they belong to Alex Byerly of California, who has worn them for two-and-a-half years. It takes a lot of wear to make a pair of jeans look like they’ve been shredded by a machine gun, but Alex ‘s daily routine has been enough to achieve just that.

Alex has worn these A.P.C.s most days during their tenure, occasionally working on cars whilst rocking them. With barely a shred of dye left, it’s hard to imagine these jeans in their raw form, but there is still remnants of the indigo dye between the thick creases of the stacks towards the hems and the tight-knit honeycombs behind the knees. The lap has worn down so hard that the whiskers can only just be seen through the storm of icy-white dye-loss. And as for the tears and holes, they do nothing but add a whole new level of gnarliness to these crocked A.P.C.’s.

With multiple repairs conducted already and both knees completely blown, it looks like these A.P.C.s are just hanging on – but judging by the images – Alex is still rocking them with pride, and rightly so.
