Japan Blue and Blue Owl’s latest collaboration has us salivating.  A total of four jeans in two silhouettes, JB’s Tapered and High Tapered fits, the collaborative capsule includes a raw 12oz. stretchy jean, as well as a 14oz. OD Indigo jean with lots of slub.

Raw, stretchy denim, from Japan Blue? It’s a first for the brand. The JBO-480 and JBO-680 feature custom brass buttons engraved with “BLUE” (so appropriate), black leather patch customized for the collaboration, and five-pocket construction. There’s 2% stretch in these, and if you’ve ever worn a pair of stretchy denim, you know a little bit goes a long way. You can definitely do yoga in these, but we don’t recommend it.

The heavier offerings, the JBO-490 and JBO-690, feature all the same details as their stretchy counterparts but are comprised of an indigo warp, indigo weft, and deceptively slubby-as-heck texture that will assuredly age delightfully. A more classic, appropriate-for-all-climates type of jean, and we can’t wait to see a pair of these broken in. Mind sending us some pics?
