Fade Friday – Naked & Famous Elephant 4 (2.5 Years, 0 Washes)

You instantly know when a fade submission is Fade Friday material and this submission from Ontario’s Frank Lee is no exception. If you weren’t already envious of his Naked & Famous Elephant 4’s, you might find yourself a little miffed that this is Frank’s first pair of raw denim. It tends to take folks a few pairs to figure it out, but in this case, first time’s the charm. He wore them every day for two years and relaxed his rotation thereafter.

These jeans have seen plenty of action skateboarding and longboarding (which likely helped those honeycombs) and have generally spent a lot of time outdoors in a variety of temperatures, from -40 to 30 C. But all along the way, aside from some rain, they’ve never touched water.

The creases are super deep and three dimensional like they’ve been chiseled out of stone. We’ve never seen honeycombs that could double for a set of shelves before, but now we have.

You can find Frank on Reddit.
