Pherrows Fuses USN Wool Blankets into Sweaters

It seems safe to assume that we’ve all wanted to wear a blanket in the outdoors at some point in our lives, but Pherrow’s went ahead and made that lofty dream into a socially acceptable reality with their 18W-PNS1 USN Blanket Sweater—a piece that looks like a US Navy-issued blanket but also looks like a very warm sweater.

(I don’t know why this seems safe, but it does. Anyways.)

Knit in Japan from a soft, thick 100% wool yarn and fashioned with extended ribbing at the cuffs and hem, this one features a chainstitched “U.S. Navy” embroidery on the chest (done in homage to the aforementioned USN blankets) and a crew neckline with a “tuck away” polo-style collar, which is a detail that probably wasn’t drawn from the blankets.

So for those of you (me) that were worried about having to brave sidewalks without a blanket this winter, worry no more.

Available for £185 (~$237) in either Natural or Navy at Clutch Cafe.
