Studio D’artisan’s FOX-001 Jeans Feature a Natural Olive Cast

You can thank Sally Fox for the beautiful, naturally-dyed cotton you’ll see in the weft of Studio D’Artisan’s new FOX-001 jeans. Sally, a farmer and scientist located in Northern California, positioned against traditionally grown cotton and the ways we wantonly consume and wear synthetic dyes, motivated her to revive this almost-extinct tea cotton.

No dyes except good, old-fashioned indigo, were used in the making of SDA’s newest relaxed-taper jeans. The cut is based on the brand’s famous 107 cut, but altered to provide more comfort and room in the top block. The tea cotton has a natural olive tint, is remarkably textured and will age beautifully. And best of all, you can wear the cotton knowing that you’re supporting Ms. Fox and her efforts to change the cotton industry for the better.

The 15oz. unsanforized jeans have an indigo warp and greenish weft and a navy selvedge ID. A chainstitched waist, seat, and hem add extra durability and a pony hair patch really makes these gorgeous jeans stand out even more.
