Comfy Lives Up to Their Name With Their Rabbit Hoodie

Comfy – All Down Filled is a Japanese brand that doesn’t stray too far from its vintage inspiration, namely the harsh-weather enduring, down-filled insulated garments of the long gone, but not forgotten Seattle based All Down Filled Mfg. Co. With a heavy dose of old-school utility paired with minimal contemporary design, fit, and finish, the brand resides somewhere between Mnt. Renier’s simplicity and And Wander’s technical minimalism.

The Rabbit Hoodie is Comfy’s take on a military style boa parka, done in warm, poly-acrylic blended pile with a fixed hood with a fold-out brim. Made in Japan, the name comes from blue fold-away “rabbit ears” at the hood, held together with velcro to add some warming wind protection at the wearers face. Contrast blue trim continues as a theme, with trim along the flat hemline, at each cuff, surrounding the side zip pockets and showing up in the generously appointed elbow patches. Speaking of contrast, a red perforated lining is found throughout the interior which further encourages one to connect the dots between this piece highly-revered, cold-weather adventure gear from the past.
