Prime and Left Field Collaborate for a Lightweight and (Very) Neppy Jean

New York denim masters Left Field have partnered with Australia’s streetwear and sneaker store Prime to produce a limited edition Atlas Jean and it’s ideal for the Southern Hemisphere’s summer. Made from 11oz. Xinjiang hairy new cotton selvedge, it features a custom vegetable-tanned leather label with a killer graphic to commemorate the collaboration.

The Atlas has a roomy top block (similar to the brand’s ‘Greaser’ fit) with a tapered leg opening. The Xinjiang cotton is a long staple cotton from Western China, which shares some similar characteristics to Zimbabwe cotton. It has been hand-picked to maintain the staple length, as modern machinery often shortens the length. As the cotton is softer, it also allows for deeper penetration of the indigo dye which will no doubt result in some great fades and patina.

As to be expected with Left Field, there’s also a whole host of other great details including US-made bandanna print pocket bags, hidden rivets, navy foil embossed patch, US-made copper hardware and Left Field’s signature skull logo on all rivets and tacks.

Available for $175 from Left Field.
