Fade of the Day – A.P.C. Petit New Standard (4.5 Years, 6 Washes, 4 Soaks)

A.P.C.’s raw denim is accessible and built to fade, a fact we can see in Jose Polanco’s Petit New Standards, worn for 4.5 years, which also happen to be today’s Fade of the Day.

Washed only 6 times over the years, there’s quite a bit of indigo left in them. Well-faded thighs means these were used a lot, and it’s possible that Jose had to dry his hands on the legs when needed, a light fade like this is usually a sign of wear from friction such as hand rubbing.

Cell phone pocket on the front, nice whiskers on the top block, knee fades, and check out those stacks! No cuffing here. There are a number of repairs on the crotch and one on the front pocket, but they seem to be in working order, ready for more fading.
