If you’re still looking to spend your holiday bonus, Shockoe and Context Clothing’s collaborative 113XX jean can definitely take care of that. It also happens to be a good jean. The denim hails from Kurabo, weighs in at a respectable 16oz., and comes unsinged with a ton of slub. Though the denim was originally unsanforized, it’s been rinsed to get rid of any leftover shrinkage. So the sound you hear now is the collective scoff of the absolute purists among us.
Standard, high-quality Shockoe details like rolled belt loops, triple-needle stitching, and a two-piece waistband come with the jeans. For the last collaborative touch, Context uses a nice hunk of Horween natural shell cordovan for the leather patch. And all of that is packaged into a Context-custom fit, a modified version of Shockoe’s Slim Fit that’s more forgiving in the top block.
Available for $250 at Context.
