The Strike Gold is famous for its almost too-abrasive denim, which is guaranteed to fade fast and yield unbelievably high-contrast results. So, it was only a matter of time before theses denim geniuses decided to up the fade potential even more by doubling the indigo in their jeans.
Their new loomstate 15.5oz. double indigo denim has been cut into their famous 09 Slim Taper fit and their newer, straighter cut, the 04. A relatively open weave, the Strike Gold’s denim seems heavy, but lighten up a great deal with their first wash/soak. Its rough hand helps set creases and starts to fade almost immediately by nature of its abrasive weave. Pair this new fabric with immaculate construction and eccentric detailing like copper/iron rivets and you’ve got some winners on your hands (or legs, more likely).
Because of Strike Gold’s high manufacturing standards, they only produce small batches of each jean, sometimes without ever restocking, so if you like the way these look, you’ll want to act fast.
