Since its inception in 1976 on the streets of Harajuku, Beams has consistently been at the epicenter of Japanese fashion and arguably pioneered the influence of Americana into the Japanese consciousness, albeit with a distinctly homegrown twist.
In this case, we’ve got a collaboration between Beams and the famed Loopwheeler brand, who specialize in producing some of the highest quality sweatshirts out there. Loopwheeler produces garments on old school hanging circular knitting machines, which makes for a low-tension tube knit fabric that’s strong and soft.
The ‘Beams Orange’ collaboration sweatshirt and hoodie will be released on February 9th and is unlikely to be available outside Japan. But, with some internet footwork or proxy, you might get lucky.
Available via Beams.
