Fade of the Day – A.P.C. New Standard (2 Years, Unknown Washes)

Today’s Fade of the Day from Ricky Coria in Columbus, Ohio, is extra special because they were his first pair of raw denim. However you wouldn’t know it because these have been faded like a pro.

Ricky wore these A.P.C. New Standards consistently for 2 years between 2008 and 2010. They suffered several crotch blow outs, 2 knee blow outs (one on each leg), but also faded a fair amount. We are reaching dramatic”pre-faded” level fades but rest assured, these are the real deal. These have almost transitioned to white jeans on the front side for goodness sake.  And those honeycombs? They don’t get more perfectly wrinkly than that.

After being worn into the ground, having gone through countless washes, soaks, and even an ocean wash, these jeans earned retirement after their 2 years of dedicated service.
