Today’s Fade of the Day is brought to us by Henrik Wilberg out of Minnesota, and we’ve got some especially beaten up Banana Republic Slim Straight Selvedge denim to ogle, come and get a look at these beauties.
The fades are some to aspire to with the smoky honeycombs and high contrast throughout. Henrik’s wear on these spans 7 years. Having gone through commutes, camping, and two cross-country road trips- they’re one-of-a-kind jeans that are still in Henrik’s rotation, and we don’t blame him.
They’ve been repaired extensively by Askov Finlayson in Minnesota, and have had paint removed from them, creating interesting fades where the paint dried. There are some definite Frankenstein vibes on those shredded honeycombs. It would have been great to see all the stages of this jean, but for now they’re safe and intact in Henrik’s collection, a beautiful testament to the dedication denim heads put into their jeans.
