Levi’s Vintage Clothing Shoots for the Moon for Their SS19 Collection

Levi’s Vintage Clothing, man. When they do it right, they really do it right.

For Spring/Summer 2019, the vintage freaks over at LVC are taking a slightly different tack with a collection inspired by the Cold War space race of the 50s and 60s. The collection channels a childlike naïveté and a sense of wonder about that great newest of new frontiers: space. The collection is replete with the usual fare, the famous versions of the 501xx in both raw and distressed versions, but there’s definitely enough newness to keep things you excited… and looking like Hogarth from The Iron Giant.

The color palette feels more ambitious this season and every single piece in that delightful mint green seems like an absolute must-have. The outerwear is also incredibly strong, with the Starburst Bomber jacket taking the cake and 1940’s long Paddington-esque parka in a close second. The colors and patterns are simultaneously ambitious, familiar, and wearable. This humble writer would honestly pick up all of the new colorful shirts and sweats and fleeces if he could, but he can’t. You can, though!
