In the vein of Mister Freedom’s Grizzly Jacket, the Lawrence Jacket is a leather panel jacket, not lined with bear fur but lined with antique kilim rugs. Offered in differing lots of unique patterns, the rug lining’s patterns are geometric, giving depth to an already solid leather jacket. Some of the panels are symmetrical, some less so, some colorful, there’s some earth tones if you’re playing it safe, but all unique and beautiful in their own way, and their texture against natural vegetable tanned leather about to darken up nicely evokes a certain sense of ruggedness equal to the mighty spirit of Laurence of Arabia.
If that weren’t enough, these Made-in-USA jackets feature slanted and reinforced hand pockets, discharge-printed cotton flannel lining, adjustable side gussets w/NOS metal slider buckles, keyhole buttonholes, corozo cat-eye wooden buttons reinforced by vintage cat-eye corozo buttons. As to be expected, these are also very limited.
Available for $1600 at Mister Freedom.
