Blluemade Lays Out Their Spring/Summer 2019 Collection

Blluemade recently launched their SS19 collection and with the mantra of ‘distinctive natural fabrics for everyday wear’ and a new lookbook available online, we felt it was only right to take a closer peek at what the New York-based brand has to offer.

The brand’s latest season takes inspiration from vintage apparel spanning many cultures and countries, with a strong reference to workwear and utilitarian garments. Linen is central to the Blluemade collection and as the oldest known textile, it is a constant source of inspiration for the brand. Produced from long-staple fibers, which are less prone to wrinkles and itchiness, Blluemade garments are designed in Brooklyn and produced a stone’s throw over the East River in a factory owned and run by women.

The SS19 collection blends a number of colors from deep indigos to olive, yolk and poppy shades. Stand out items include the Camp Collar shirt in toast, the Varsity-Pocket Blazer in indigo and the Cap in olive. With a distinctly gender fluid and unisex offering, combined with brand transparency, we’re jumping on the Blluemade band wagon.
