Fade of the Day – Conners Sewing Factory S409XXX M-46 First Half (~2 Years, Unknown Washes)

Today’s Fade of the Day features a cult brand we’ve yet to feature on Heddels: Conners Sewing Factory. This pair of CSF S409XXX M-46 First Half jeans comes to us from Ryan Darragh, of Belfast, Northern Ireland.

CSF jeans is a one-man brand, with owner Konaka-san making their stuff by hand in Shiga Prefecture, Japan, near Kyoto. The man behind the brand has an insane eye for vintage Levi’s details (with a large collection and access to Yawara Miura’s legendary 3,000+ vintage denim collection too). Ryan chose to forego wearing these jeans to his welding job, so this pair was mostly worn on weekends. He lost track of the number of washes, but estimates it’s around 20 or so. Usually he hand washes in the tub, but if they’re really dirty he’ll throw them in the machine.

Over the past 2 years, Ryan did plenty in these jeans, including celebrating his son’s first birthday and first Christmas. Otherwise they’ve been through regular dad stuff, he says. The jeans are quickly taking form too, and have a vintage feel to them already.
