We don’t hear much from J. Crew these days it seems, but that doesn’t mean they’re not cooking up something in the kitchen. Case in point: today’s Fade of the Day, a pair of J. Crew 484 jeans in Japanese-milled selvedge Kaihara denim.

These jeans come to us from Reilly Hudson of Washington D.C. who says he wore them every day for a year. That included to work, to the beach, moving boxes, skating, biking, and just kicking back. During that time he gave them 4 washes and 2 soaks to keep them from getting funky.

It seems as if Reilly’s wear and care regimen is working, as the jeans have taken on sharp whiskers, honeycombs, and and overall lovely royal blue shade. Keep it up Reilly.
