I’m all about really good clothes that are also really unassuming. And if my phone is listening to my innermost thoughts (which, it is), it makes sense that Freenote Cloth’s latest Rios jean found its way to all of my Apple devices and into my retinas.
The Rios is Freenote’s “updated slim” fit, meaning it’s cut with a medium rise, slim thigh, and ‘moderate’ leg opening. That all sounds very regular and unassuming to me, but that’s not a bad thing. Aside from the classically-slim fit, these jeans feature some neck-turning details, not the least of which is the 14.25oz. raw selvedge denim from Kuroki Mills. You’ll also find felled inseams, a two-piece waistband, a leather patch made by Red Wing, Japanese herringbone pocket bags, and custom rivets. All of these details pile up quickly into a subtle stack of quality that only the Freenote team can conjure.
