Freenote Rounds Up Custom Japanese Fabric for Their Modern Western

Growing up in fast fashion’s unrelenting vice, there was always a shirt that everyone ended up having. I remember for a while there were cheap, but vibrantly-printed western shirts that were all the rage and now that I’m a more discerning consumer, I’m ashamed to wear them. Lucky for me, there are far better western shirt options to replace my old, crappy ones.

Freenote Cloth is the main candidate for my next new western, namely their new Modern Western shirt in the “Redwood” fabric. This lightweight custom fabric from Japan looks to be perfect for the warmer months. Its cheerful pattern is complemented handsomely by the diamond corozo snaps, almost-sawtooth pockets, and comfy relaxed fit. Sizing down should get you the slimmer profile you may want, but a looser fit shouldn’t hurt, especially when the weather gets muggy.

This great level-up from my old westerns is available for $230 at Freenote Cloth.
