This week’s Fade Friday, come to us from Kilian Hutzler in Stuttgart, Germany, means business with this five-year-old Iron Heart x Self Edge jeans. Throughout that time, Kilian has kept track of his wears and is at 504 days in total. He does it all in his jeans: working, partying, traveling, and of course fading. They have only been washed four times and soaked once.

As a result, they strike the right balance between having a rough, grainy texture and a creamy, luscious finish. There are faded sections on these jeans that look beyond white; most notably the honeycombs, where it’s clear that there is no indigo left to extract. The parts that still have some fading to do create an alluring speckled gradient thanks to the heavy weight of the denim.
