James Payne from the US has faded the heck out of his Gap x Baldwin GQ jeans, which happen to be today’s Fade of the Day.
Denim is a cloth of attrition and James is clearing winning the war. However there was no secret to achieving these fades, just honest wear and patience over three and a half years.
There is a great contrast going on, with the fades achieving a greenish white hue while the darker areas, although deep blue have lost their rigidity, highlighting the warp and weft of the jeans. The hems have torn, the crotch is going thin, the whiskers and honeycombs are clearly out in full force. How many more years will they last?
