Fade of the Day – A.P.C. Petit New Standard (15 Months, 3 Washes, 2 Soaks)

Got knee blow-outs? This guy does! Today’s Fade of the Day comes to us from Heddels reader Aldrick Susanna in Tilberg, Netherlands. After just over 12 months of wearing his A.P.C. Petit New Standard jeans they’ve acquired some strong gradients and DIY rips.

Aldrick says he’s pretty impressed with how well this pair has held up, having worn them almost every day to work as a furniture-maker since buying them back in January 2018. They’ve needed a bunch of repairs which our friends in Amsterdam, Tenue de Nimes, have taken care of a total of five times – we love the way they’ve been stitched up at the front and that fun Batman patch on the reverse.

The result of so much wear and only three washes is nice high-contrast gradients, whiskers and stacking, and now Aldrick’s decided the time is right for these to enter retirement into his casual rotation.
