What do you get when you don’t wash your often-cycled-in pair of Nudie Grim Tims for almost 2 years? Some seriously sick high contrast fades. Oh, and a lot of crotch repairs.
Leo from Jakarta sent us these Nudies for today’s Fade of the Day, and they’ve seen a year and 11 months of wear while Leo spent his time working in a denim sewing factory, occasionally riding his bicycle around town — that explains all the crotch repairs!
The high contrast fades can be seen on the lap, the whiskers and wonky honeycombs, and areas of stress where there’s been repairs done. Speaking of repairs, the pockets and crotch feature some what appears to be machine-sewn repairs, in contrasting and tonal thread colors. Can we all agree that the crotch always blows out after repeated cycling in jeans? There’s no getting around it. But now that Leo’s washed these one of a kind jeans, and they’ve softened up a bit, there should be some life left in them yet before blowing out again.
