Grant Stone Slips Quality Details into Their Traveler Penny Loafers

It’s really hard not to love a loafer. These lazy/dressy shoes pair well with just about anything and make a great addition to your footwear lineup in the warmer months.

The funny thing about loafers is that, typically, you have to pay a premium for simplicity. Many loafer designers out there are piling simply too many extraneous details into these classic slip-ons. Grant Stone, however; has the answer to this pervasive dilemma. A shoe that checks all the right boxes without going overboard (or breaking the bank).

The Traveler Penny loafers come in four different leathers currently, with one extra that comes on-line in May. They’ve opted for a handful of colors (that navy chromexcel is a verified doozy) and there are two different suedes available. Perfect for summer. They’re all built on Grant Stone’s Alexander last and feature a cork filler for comfort and steel shank for durability. The suedes are from CF Stead and the chromexcels are all from Horween. What more could you want?
