Stockholm-based brand Indigofera prides themselves on making “prima garments for good times” since they were established in 2007. Becoming a reliable, steadfast and high-quality European denim brand, founder Mats Anderson wants to offer products which are meant to be worn. Working with American, European and Japanese mills, fabric comes first for Indigofera.
Their latest offering is their Clint jean in a sanforized 18oz. Japanese denim from Shiroyama Mills. While that sounds great, the detail doesn’t stop there. The yarn is 100% USA cotton which is spun and woven in Japan. This, combined with a weft yarn that is heavier than the warp yarn, and a low tension weave, results in a denim that will have a rough and uneven appearance.
The Clint is a straight leg and regular waist jean; not too baggy but loose enough to work with a variety of ‘fits. A firm favorite of the guys (and girls) at Standard & Strange, they’re ‘just right’. Featuring lockstitch hems and made in Portugal, you’re getting a whole host of great details with this denim.
Available for $309 at Standard & Strange.
