Leather Soul Adds Some Height to Alden’s Chukka

This might be considered blasphemy in some circles—this is probably one of those circles—but I contend that it’s very, very possible to get bored* with the classics. Now, I’m not saying that fatigue is what inspired Leather Soul to outfit the popular Alden 1339 with some party-worthy details, but they did so anyways and the results certainly aren’t boring. You know, solutions and stuff.

(*I said bored, though, not resentful or angry or unimpressed or the like, so don’t @ me. Mostly because I won’t care if you do, but also because neither my hot-ish take nor the tricked out chukka will make a Classic disappear, and everything will be ok.)

Made expressly for Leather Soul and built (as always) in the USA—on the time-tested Barrie last, for those into specifics—these fancy-leaning boots have a Cordovan No. 8 upper with six blind eyelets, a punched cap-toe, a reverse all-around welt, and a stacked leather sole.

So, if you’re looking for a chukka with some attitude (or maybe just LS’s classic Jumper Boot but at Corgi height) and also have $775, these are going to be tough to beat.

Available at the Leather Soul.
