Shockoe’s Latest Jean is 16.5oz. of Slubby Selvedge Denim

If you don’t have yourself some slubby denim, you likely should. If you read the memo and already have some slubby denim, you should certainly have more. The feel, fades, and loom pedigree all add up to a jean that’s not only worth wearing but gets all-the-more enjoyable with every wear. Shockoe’s latest, the Slim Kita 16.5oz. jean checks all the boxes and may just hold the design and details to entice you to add it to your rotation.

Handmade in Richmond, the Kita has a heavyweight 100% cotton selvedge fabric woven with an indigo warp and natural weft at the Collect Mill in Japan, and should you get to that inevitable point, Shockoe offers free repairs for the life of the pant. Built with a familiar slim-fit, the jean features a mid-rise with a tapered leg, contrast stitching and a chain stitched hem, reinforced front pockets, lined back pockets, leather backed rivets and buttons, branded black coated copper rivets and buttons that will fade and wear to expose the copper over time, a veg-tanned leather patch, and a hidden selvedge coin pocket. Serious stuff!
