Star of Hollywood’s Back with More Repro Hawaiian Shirts

While the name might be familiar to some vintage clothing aficionados and collectors, Star of Hollywood was a brand that existed back in the 50s and was known for producing outlandish and recognizable patterns. Recently acquired by Japanese heritage front runner Toyo Enterprises (umbrella company for Buzz Rickson’s, Sugar Cane, Sun Surf, etc.), these designs are now being reincarnated for the contemporary market. The original brand was known for working closely with mills to produce printed fabrics which became their trademark, with diamonds and tarantulas being some of the most recognizable.

Here we have the Vulture Time and Army of Tigers short sleeve Hawaiian shirts, both offering an eye-catching design and array of great details. Made from 100% custom Star of Hollywood cotton which is discharge printed, the shirts are made in Japan. They come rinsed with a straight cut hem which is perfect to pair with some chinos and huaraches for the summer heat. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t want a shirt with some vultures or tigers on it?!
