Fade of the Day – Levi’s 501 STF (9.5 Years, Unknown Washes & Soaks)

Summer is here and that means it’s time to break out the faded jorts, right? Well, that’s what we have for you for today’s Fade of the Day!

This pair of Levi’s 501 STF jeans were submitted, and cut off, by Heddels reader Sven Howard who moved to Georgia (the country) in them in 2010. After 4 years of hard wear, he converted them into summer shorts. In their seventh year, he had a tailor in Istanbul, Turkey, patch them up and then went paragliding in them. A year later they began falling apart, and now are relegated to around-the-house loungewear.

Of course, Sven has done well to keep the length on them a bit longer to avoid looking like your uncle who wears Daisy Dukes with socks and sandals. Instead, he has something very wabi-sabi and all his own.
