Fade of the Day – Momotaro 0305-18 (1.5 Years, 3 Washes, 2 Soaks)

For Today’s Fade of the Day, Thawit Phowandee of Bangkok, Thailand is serving up a pair of Momotaro jeans worn for a year and a half. Thawit confesses to loving two things about these jeans: the fabric and the fading.

Coming in at an even 18 oz., these jeans are not the lightest jeans in the world. Don’t worry though, Thawit is the man for the job.  Seeing as these jeans have only been worn for a year and a half, the amount of fading throughout the jeans  shows that Thawit wore these them on consistent basis. This, along with the hot and humid climate of Bangkok and a combination of three washes and two soaks, that is.

Overall, the fading is on the mellower end but possess spikes of intense wear like the dreamy layered honeycombs and the deep whiskers, stretching from the button fly all the way down to the knees, which are the most faded part of the jeans for your information.
