Fade of the Day – TCB Slim 50’s (1 Year, 11 Washes, 1 Soak)

Christopher Wakefield from Vancouver, Canada is taking care of business by showing us the potential of the TCB 50’s Slim Jean in today’s installment of Fade of the Day.

For a year, while in the office, camping, wrenching, and riding his motorcycle, these have been Christopher’s “go-to” jeans. One look at them and you’ll see he has not held back on them and apart from two minor crotch blow outs that have been repaired, they have held up well. Being worn so often, it is no surprise that these jeans have touched water, 12 times to be exact (11 washes and one soak).

And, if you’ve been here for a while, you know what happens when you mix dedicated wear and tons of water: vintage looking fades. However, these jeans have the best of both worlds. They definitely have plenty of washed-out fading in the thighs, shins, and seat but, they also have some stronger fade lines coming through in the lap, knees, and most prominently, the back of the knees. The effect of these fading styles coming together is a well-rounded pair of jeans that will only look better as the fade lines become more distinct.
