Southeast Asia just keeps on delivering. Although this Fade of the Day isn’t up to the typical high-contrast craziness the region usually yields, we think these 15-ounce denim jeans from The Worker’s Shield are still worthy of a feature.
Hailing from Indonesia, Heddels reader Denny Arsena says this ‘MW012 X’ model has done the daily commute with him consistently for the last 10 months, and the faded seat and whiskered front are clues to his desk-based job as a graphic designer. Denny isn’t precious about washing these a little as possible. In fact, he can’t remember how many times they’ve seen the water! He does know that they’ve been treated to single soak, though.
The things we really like about this pair are the electric-blue honeycombs on the reverse and the way the leather back patch is slowly developing a nice patina. Give it another 10 months and we expect they’ll be well on their way to that faded perfection.
