Fade of the Day – Nama Denim Unknown Model (1 Year, 2 Washes)

Hold up, Apiz Mikaelson from Singapore is showing off some Nama Denim jeans so bright, we need to put on some sunglasses. Much better. Back to brass tax, or more appropriately, copper rivets. After a year of motorcycling, hiking, wearing these jeans to work every day, and two ocean washes, Apiz has earned a great set of fades.

As referenced by my really clever joke up top, these jeans have gotten pretty light, which definitely highlights the texture of the denim, making it come alive. And maybe that’s why these jeans are so fun to look at. When fades are born out of interesting fabric, the character they bring to the table is elevated. In this case, all the lines pop! The whiskers are long and distinguished but aren’t too crowded, which gives them that classic workwear look. The indigo-deprived thighs and stretched knees carry on this aesthetic well. Then, the endless conveyor belt of defined honeycombs show the dedication of a modern denim head. Apiz, make sure you hold on to these jeans tight during your third ocean wash because they are fin-tastic!
