When in doubt, A.P.C. is always there for us, and we’re glad to see that Gunner Dongieux invested in the legendary Petit New Standard for his very first pair of raw denim. After just 10 months of wear, this Fade of the Day submission ticks all the boxes for sick fades.
Gunner is an artist in San Francisco, so he’s been wearing these 12 oz. jeans day-in, day-out at his studio (sometimes even getting some shut-eye in them, too). Take a look at the knees and you’ll see all the signs of a hard-working artist – they’re splattered with paint, scuffed, and super faded from crouching on the floor over artwork. Gunner says the wear and tear on the pockets come from his phone, wallet, and AirPods, and he reckons that crotch blow out will need seeing to in the near future. He’s faithfully keeping track of each wash on the inside pocket bag, having tested out freezer and bath methods so far, but thinks a new pair might be in the cards soon.
