Freeman Boasts Bare Knees with Their Washington-Made Hosta Shorts

Brittany and Scott Freeman started a passion project back in 2010, when they converted their kitchen table into a sewing station. They were on a quest to make the ideal rain jacket which would be suitable for those Seattle downpours. Fast forward a few years and the Freeman brand prides itself on attention to detail,  local manufacturing, and time-honored silhouettes.

Just in time for the summer rays, Freeman’s Hosta Shorts combine the look of a board short with a lightweight Cotton Sanded Twill. ‘Soft yet sturdy’, the Hosta comes in a host of colors including black, blue, olive, and madrona. Each pair sits just above the knees and features an elastic waist with a drawstring, two front slash pockets and two back pockets. Made a few miles from the Freeman Capitol Hill store and coming in at under $100, the Hosta should be a mainstay in your summer rotation.

Available for $88 at Freeman.
