Division Road Triples Down on Dublin Leather with Viberg

As ever, Division Road has packed so much detail into one collection that we would need a three-part HBO doc-series to really do it justice. But because we want to save you the time and the HBO subscription fees, we’ll sum it all up for you in this handy-dandy article.

The newest collab is with famed Canadian bookmaker, Viberg. Though the three boots are on different lasts (the 2030 and 2040), they have a whole lot in common. Firstly, they’re all variations of Viberg’s Service Boot with natural midsoles, stitchdown construction, antique brass eyelets with flat waxed laces and rawhide laces. But most importantly, they share the same beautiful leather. It really comes down the leather with these handsome boots. Sourced from Horween and exclusive to Division Road, the Natural Dublin leather shares some attributes with Horween’s famous shell cordovan, but unlike their cordovan, this nude leather has a much lighter shade that is then aniline finished and waxed. It’s a lot of work for what might seem like a simple tan leather, but that’s how these giants of bookmaking excellence do their jobs. You can bet they’ll age stupendously too.

Once you’re sold on the leather, it’s just a matter of last and details to make your pick. Do you want a plain toe? Or maybe a Brogue Cap toe? The choice is yours, man, and you really can’t go wrong.
