Edwin’s Brown Cotton Rainbow Selvedge Jacket is Simpler Than it Sounds

It’s natural to start hankering for a new denim jacket, especially now that we’re assailing with you with upcoming fall releases. If you’re as obsessed with denim as we are, you likely have all the major styles in a variety of quirky variations. What if, this time around, you got something nice and simple? Something that will wear in handsomely and keep things low-key?

The new Brown Cotton Rainbow Selvedge Jacket from Edwin might be just such a jacket. Because despite its name, it seems to keep things pretty minimal. The brown cotton doesn’t mean the jacket is a brown color, merely that the weft and thread have a darker, more natural hue and the rainbow selvedge edge is a nice touch, although not one that messes with the minimalist design throughout. The jacket comes in a 14oz. Kaihara denim, and takes its cues from a classic Type II jacket. However; this iteration forgoes the pleats in favor of a cleaner front and adds handwarmer pockets, but otherwise stays true to its inspiration.

This handsome jacket can be had for £220 (~$270USD) at Kafka Mercantile.
