Fade of the Day – Levi’s 511 Selvedge (~4.5 Years, 4 Washes, 2 Soaks)

Tips for achieving sick fades on your jeans are a dime a dozen, but when it all comes down to it, you’ve really just gotta wear ‘em, which is what Terry Jones from Perth, Australia, says he’s done for the last four and a half years before submitting this Fade of the Day.

Terry doesn’t don these Levi’s 511 Selvedge jeans every day though, no, he reserves them for occasions such as skating, going to gigs, and doing general weekend stuff (his day job requires him to be suited and booted). Washing this pair has averaged out to about once a year, with an additional two soaks somewhere in that time. The result is strong, even indigo-loss, a few healthy looking whiskers, light honeycombs and a nice wallet profile on the back pocket. Do we spy some subtle hints of vertical falling fades on that close-up shot of the seat, too?!

Undoubtedly, these Levi’s still have lots of wear left in them yet, and judging by the progress so far, we reckon they’ll be spot-on after a few more washes.
