Ah yes, the mythical 6-month mark. Chances are you’ve heard of this curious bit of raw denim folklore, the magical date you’re supposed to wait for before washing your jeans. Even if it’s likely just folklore, it’s worked for this pair of jeans, which are also today’s Fade of the Day.

These Oldblue Co. 21/23 oz. Beasts come to us from Heddels reader Riki Saputra of Indonesia. Riki says he’s worn these every day and given them zero repairs. And that’s all he said about this pair, but that’s OK. From what we can see the major creases, the whiskers and honeycombs, have set in nicely, and fading has begun. With a good, strong wash these jeans ought to come to life.
