Fade of the Day – Tanner Goods Natural Utility Wallet (~2 Years)

For today’s Fade of the Day, Anirban Jana from India is showing off one of denim’s best friends: a leather wallet, specifically a Tanner Goods veg tanned bi-fold wallet.

After two years in Anirban’s front pocket, not only is the integrity of the wallet crisp and sturdy, but the leather has also garnered a warm patina. Part of the well-nurtured appearance comes from coconut oil, which Anirban applied to the outside of the wallet after the one-year mark.

The other major labor of love was when he used a blue fountain pen to liven up the exterior stitching while using a red fountain pen to do the same for the inside. The intent was to create contrast stitching throughout the wallet. We admire Anirban’s choices to personalize his wallet because at the end of the day, we use our objects to make them more personal and unique and I can assure you, know one else has a wallet like Anirban’s.
