Pure Blue Japan’s Latest Denim Comes Out Black and Blue

In the world of raw denim, most jeans and jackets are blue, some are black, but almost none are…both? Well, Pure Blue Japan noticed this gap and filled it real good with their XX-019-18OZ-IDBK Denim, try saying that…once, and their 18OZ Type 3 Denim Jacket.

For those who want a black denim and a blue denim all wrapped in one, you might wanna check these out. The fabric for these pieces consists of a dark indigo warp and sulphur-dyed weft leading to a slubby finish and allows black and blue lovers to have their denim and wear it too.

Although the fabric will start out a blackish midnight blue, with some dedicated wear, it will break out of its dark cocoon and blossom into bright, lively shades of indigo. However, it’s not just the fabric that will “fade”. The hardware on these pieces start with a black coating and wear away, revealing a shiny iron core. And if even that wasn’t enough, both pieces feature blue selvedge, a black sheepskin leather patch, and are made in Japan.
