Fade of the Day – Nudie Lean Dean Japan Selvedge (1 Week)

Fades controversy no more? After featuring Dennis Santarinala’s jeans last month in our Fade of the Day, we were sure his method of hand distressing his jeans would cause a firestorm, but it didn’t. Well, he’s back with another pair that he’s done up in a week’s time.

This pair of Nudie Lean Dean Japan Selvedge got their fades with Dennis’ technique of using a rage and diluted bleach water at different ratios. On Dennis’ previous pair, he waited 3 months before beginning his hand-fading regimen, but this time it only took 3 wears for the creases he wanted to set in. He says the back isn’t done yet as he’s yet to finish the honeycombs. To Dennis that’s fine though, as he treats his hand fading as something more akin to painting.
